Posted February 9, 200619 yr I'm looking for a cage for three budgies that will be an acceptable size considering that they will be spending most of their day outside of the cage and not overwhelm a small apartment and also of course be efficient. Some cages I'm looking at: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...2188x003&ctt=60 http://www.pets-warehouse.com/picture-bb1/hagen/4200.gif http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod...2&N=2003+113271 - though I like this one, I live in a small 1 bed room apt and i'm a little afraid it'll take over the apartment, especially since my birdies spend a lot of time outside. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod...1&N=2003+113268 I looked into breeding cages but I really don't like how most of them have just a tray and no seedcatcher on the bottom. Please let me know what you think, I value you guys's opinions.
February 9, 200619 yr i personally have the fourth one your mentioned, i love it because the blue caps can come off and they(fids) can come out the top, its hard to get additional dished and such in there though. i also like the first one, anything with its own stand wins brownie point in my house hehe.

February 9, 200619 yr http://demsondpetdepot.com/Merchant2/merch...tegory_Code=BAC here is a link that eterri gave me this is the larger one or you can go a little bit smaller. It is a reasonable price too. I would think the last one would be best, the other ones look small and the 3rd one is kind of tall. You want to give them more length and width then tallness to exercise their wings in. The one above in the link is a breeding cage and is very nice. Edited February 9, 200619 yr by lovey
February 9, 200619 yr i just looked better at it and it looks good!i think the second or thired the forth is nice but it looks smaller then th others
February 9, 200619 yr Author ive got 2 boys and 1 girl to  hmmm there all really goo just the second looks a bit small The second one is actually 24x12x18, what I liked is that it's long and it has 4 food dishes instead of 2 and very asthetically pleasing

February 9, 200619 yr Terri has 4 in the link above she said they have plenty of room, I was asking about 2 budgies when she gave me that link. So I would think those dimension on the cage in the link would be perfect for 3

February 9, 200619 yr gotcha missed that, can you purchase a plastic seed catcher for them? I have done much investigating quite yet, I plan on a bigger cage and have not decided on one either personally yet. Have you checked out e-bay for ideas, there are alot, that is where I have been browsing. At least what I would do is try and stay with dimensions close to that if not a breeder cage. Also browse through the forums I know a lot of topics have been started about cages, and I know you will find ideas.

I have checked out ebay, the only concern I have is that the only long cages I can find seem to be breeder cages, or else they're gigantic metal cages with stands... after hearing your opinions, I think i'm leaning more towards 2 and 4 because they're actually about the same size. But I'd like to hear more suggestions...
February 10, 200619 yr You can purchase these bits of stretchy material very cheap on ebay which come in heaps of sizes and colours, they do the same job as the plastic bit on most cages.
