Just a warning about the types of feed containers which sit on the outside of the cage and are transparent plastic with a lift up lid. When I bought my very first cage there should have been a pot for water but that was missing so in my ignorance I put seed in one container and water in the other.Thank goodness I kept a careful eye on my new charge as I saw him investigating the water, he obviously saw it as a way out and started to push against the clear perspex,he slipped and somehow got himself completely stuck all rolled in a ball with head under water. I had to hook him out with my finger and thank goodness he suffered no ill effects but if I hadn't been there he could have easily drowned and it would have been my fault. :huh:
