Posted January 30, 200619 yr Well, please look at the following pics and let me know what you think. Sinatra's stomach looks really full, although I have to say a few hours ago it looked worse. Anyway, I don't see too much poop in the box. I have read that sometimes the mom takes it out but I want to make sure his "bowels" are okay. Look at the pics and let me know. Thanks. He is 5 days old by the way. Ooooh, his eyes are opening!!!
January 30, 200619 yr It does look a bit distended in the side picture. If is normal colour or is it see through? like there is some air trapped inside. I other can answer you soon too. Its been a while since I've had little babies and I never got that close to them at this age.

He seems a little more sluggish than the baby that hatched after him, but maybe it is because he is so big, he has a lot more weight to pull around. Wendy
January 30, 200619 yr Mum does remove the poops, have a look near the nesting box, you should be able to see what she has removed
January 30, 200619 yr It might be an idea to give a vet a ring, some will talk to you over the phone.
