I have on the back burner a bigger cage either for 2 budgies or 1 cockatiel, and I wanted to get ideas of where everyone purchased their cage and how much. Did you get a good deal? Where you can find the best deals? Have you tried e-bay and had success? I have seen so many nice cages posted over the last week .

The last cage I bought on ebay, and yep, I got a good price for it. I have also found excellent cages on council pick up days. Don't know if you have them or not, but everyone puts out all their rubbish - furniture, fridges etc. And then we all go 'scabbing' picking up what we want! We don't have that here in our neighborhood, it is called garbage picking here if we scoop out the neighborhood and is actually illegal because once it is on the tree lawn it is considered city property Do you have a certain person on e-bay that you purchase from? I never did e-bay so I am skeptical that I could get ripped off.

Well, it was an Aussie company. But with ebay, check their feedback scores. You can go into it and read comments from customers. Some people have 100% feedback - meaning excellent! I started on ebay with small stuff, really cheap - it was books for my kids actually, but I have never been ripped off, and I only know one person who was. Ebay refunded their money too.

Ebay is your friend! I've seen cages for around $100 on Ebay that were $300 in the local pet stores. Pet stores will rip you off when it comes to cage prices, especially the large chain stores. It's ridiculous!

You can also look in pet shops for sales. I got Blinkie's cage for $40 expecting to have to pay around $60 - $70 because that particular design was finishing.

I just bought a cage off of ebay, and I love it! It was a good deal too....$169 Canadian funds, which is about $124 USD. That's including shipping. The cages at a pet store near here aren't even quite as big as mine, but are close to $400! I just set my cage up last night, and my budgies love it! It's huge!

i got all of my cages my big 40inch long one was about 100pounds kiwis one about 45pounds and my other one 33pounds :bluebudgie: im not sure if you could call them a (deal)but they are serving there perpose!

I saw the same cage that Lisa got in a pet store today for $219.. I thought it was a really nice cage.

Did u order your from this same place in orlando, and if so, how much did it cost in all, in Canadian currernncy to get delivered to your front door? Please tell me ALL the info, and prices id have to pay, that is if you got the cage from thst dealer....?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!

Yes, I got it from that seller in Orlando. It cost me $174 Canadian, including the $5 for the money order. It's a really great cage, my budgies love it. It took about two weeks to be delivered to my front door, but was only supposed to take about one week...it got delayed a week. It should cost you the same since you live in Ontario.

Like, can you list down how you paid, which order you got, the price you baught it off of the guy at? (as in did u have to bid like $100 CAN, or did you just e-mail him, and he shipped you one?...becuase he said theres only 4 left on that e-bay link...), and any other info i should know before hand. Did u pay when it got delivered to your door?, or did u use paypal to the dealer in Orlando?....

 

sry for all questions, but im allowed to buy it if i know how much money ill need to pay to every last penny!...hahah...my parents hate unexpected charges...but then again, who doesnt..hahaha

I forgot to mention this though: the seller doesn't accept paypal, so I sent a money order. And I didn't have to pay a cent when it came to the door: I paid everything I needed to before hand.

PS-Oh yaaaaa guys!!!...my hen laid 2 eggs! (one on saterday, one today like 10 minutes ago!!!, but i have not seen them mate! Unless they did while i was at school....shes been incubating them this whole time, so im guessing there fertile cuz i know hens dont incubate them if they are infertile!!!)

It's a money order, and make sure to get it for $99 AMERICAN. If you get it for the Canadian amount, the person you're buying the cage from will have to send it back, because they won't be able to cash it. Wherever you buy the moeny order from, they'll know what it is.

Dont you mean $144 in total? not $99?...like whats the total we write on the order? Isnt it $144 American?!?!?!..(Laughing out loud). And how do we write $144 American on a money order? does it say, american or candian, and you just check off the box for one or the other?..or...
