Oh look, kids, count the sheep or something! :fear

They're taking too long. Blinkie was at it all day yesterday....literally! :glare: If they put in half as much effort as he does i'm sure they'd have a million eggs by now. :hap:

okay Nerwen what's the update for today? Any luck?

There was no egg this morning when I check :o, since the I have them left them alone, shut the door to the room and not even peaked. (oh the will power) Hoping the alone time will spark things up a bit.

:o fingers crossed

That's it! you guys where jinxing me with the questions :) Tootie laid and egg today. Not sure when the box was empty this morning. I almost missed it in the corner (Laughing out loud). I think this is the first time i saw her out and away from the box this morning. But at last something has happened now just to hope that it's fertile. Actually I remember now she didn't want to leave the box this morning when I tapped the box, I even got to see her sitting in it and normaly she jumps out when she hears me, since I talk while walking up to the cage so as not to scare them.

**clapping** ** jumping up and down*** :D

Way to go.... Congratulations.... Lets hope everything is going okay. Next one due tomorrow..

These two haven't chewed into their cuttlebone so this morning I shaved some into their fresh food and egg mix just to make sure they are getting some.

okay unlike daz the rest of you didn't know Tootie was off for a vet visit today since she was sneezing each morning (until I made the appointment :)) It's not the best of news but not the worse. At lest the sneezing isn’t cause by any bacteria or virus. Her cere is a sign she had a Ovarian cyst, and the vet was surprised she was able to pass an egg. Plus she is overweight being a show budgie so she is now (along with the other birds) being converted to crumbles (or pellets) rather than the seed, plus with her fresh veggies each day.

This plus the cyst plus the egg (he could feel it in her body) was causing her to lose a lot of space to breath with in her tiny body causing her to pant with heat and sneeze. I feel so sorry for the little girl.

With the cyst there isn't a high rate that the eggs will NOT be fertile. Add that to Marine and his mating techniques and it's a really low chance of any hatching.

At lest I know once she loses some weight she will be better and feel better.

The poor sweet thing.....like todays modern woman she is trying to do it all on limited resources and energy levels. Hope all works out well for you here.........Cheers Kaz

So are you leaving her with the eggs or is the nest box coming out?
