January 19, 200619 yr Well in the wild budgies breed when food and water is plentiful and the temperature is good as well so yes, by supplying lots of fresh foods it can help to encourage a hen to breed.

January 19, 200619 yr Make sure you offer it regularly though, not just for breeding. It's essential that any budgie gets a good, healthy varied diet. :hap:

January 22, 200619 yr Watch it with the fruits...my birds go hyper after eating lots of fruit. I have 2 cages that like shredded carrot, 1 cage adores broccoli and Skye can't help herself when cauliflower's in with her.
