Posted January 19, 200619 yr Hey, anyone got any tips on getting your birds to eat their vegetables??? I got Sherbie to eat some broccolli today by cutting it up fine and mixing it with his seed :(Laughing out loud): (punches the air), but he won't touch anything else. :hap:
January 19, 200619 yr Give it time, they can be stubborn little bugs :hap: Broccoli is very good for them so you've made an excellent start!
January 19, 200619 yr Depending on how active he is, Change his diet to a canary mix and offer him. a mixture of endive, snow pea sprouts, sprouted seed like mung bean, cut up cellery, cut up carot. He will love you for ever. ....and he will be healthier.
January 19, 200619 yr be very persistent and consistent, continue to offer it and in different ways. Here is a recent post about the same thing you were asking, it has helpful tips. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=7811 Daz...can I ask why Canary Food? Less fattening seeds?
January 19, 200619 yr I was just about to ask the same thing, lovey. :hap: (I'd leave out the celery at any rate; no nutrition!)
January 19, 200619 yr add i tiny bit of millet crunch it up and mix it in so he has to get his beak in to eat it!then *** taste it and hopefully decid its yummy
