I have a question. My pair has laid 4 eggs. Anyway, as I was candling the eggs to see if they were fertile, it dawned on me that I might be hurting them. I know in Alligators, you can drown them in their eggs. Is that true of Budgies?

It can be but many candle them with out any harm. They do have porous shells (which means they are full of small holes) As long as you have clean hands and keep touching to a min all should be fine.
