I was looking at the petsmart birds where I got Binks, and they were all happy, and playing together. Then i noticed one female budgie's toes. Her claw, accual toe nail, not foot, was compleatly black. completely black, couldnt see the quick through the nail like you can with the normal pinkish nails. anyone seen this? what if anything was wrong with her?

birds wtih grey toned legs have black toe nails just like a dog can have white or black ones. I would only worry if the bird had pink feet and only one nail was affected

kiwi has black nails and a dark toned foot i think its normal

oh good! yes, all toes were black, and her feet were darker toned. she was the first i'd seen, it scared me a little!
