Is Honey Bad?

Featured Replies

ive been wondering about this, as if it isnt i can make my own treats rather than buying them, any ideas? :feedbirds:

Well, honey isn't bad for them, but should be used as an occasional treat. You can make your own seed treats with honey and egg whites, I don't have a recipe, but do a google search and then post a recipe for all when you've found a good one. Just like bought treats though, only feed occasionally. Just a note of warning, when I have searched for recipes before I have found alot using plaster of paris, or similar. It probably is perfectly safe, but I just can't bring myself to use that :D Perhaps other people have an opinion on it

Plaster of paris :D ...I'm sure I posted a recipe up about a week ago...I forget where I posted it ...it was for someone who asked for a recipe...if you can't find it I could write it again. :P

okay i will look now and will post if i find a new one, i know that plaster of paris is definatly poisonous to humans so i probably will be for budgies, its sounds increadibly dangerous

i found this on another forum, yes i know bad me! but it looks quite interessting http://forums.petlovers.com/vb/printthread.php?t=261&pp=40
