Posted December 24, 200519 yr We all know Baby is a gorgeous cobalt blue normal boy (I know, and I seem to be the last to get a hold on colors) and I think Skye is a violet clearwing, because of her white wings and violet tummy. What would I get if I crossed these two? Skye's being a good support for Baby, he leans on her to sleep, and she's perfectly happy just sitting there. I think she's in season, making dust piles out of her cuttlefish seems to make her happy. Do you think Baby can 'get it on'? One leg can't make it that much harder, can it?
December 25, 200519 yr Violet and cobalts I think is the outcome, no clearwings unless baby is split for it. I'm not sure aobut the leg, the guys need the balance to stand on the hen while mating, but budgies are gooda t finding ways around things like that. If you really wish to, trying them might be an idea. As long as the ingury can not be pasted on to babies, but if i remember correctly it happened in the nest when mom sat on him. Right?
December 25, 200519 yr No, the problem can't be passed on to his bubs, it's not genetic. Baby is a big bird, but Skye doesn't seem to mind being his balancing post, I hope their bubs'll be like him, fairly calm. He isn't handtrained to any extent, but he's wonderful at accepting help if it's offered (and insists on it if my attention's elsewhere!)
