Cheeky once drank my wine when I wasnt looking!!! ended up falling off his perch!! He was okay tho - chattered away for ages after that!! think he was a bit drunk :budgiedance:

 

Gosh, I thought alcohol was toxic to budgies? Anyway, my Tommy once jumped into a bowl of chocolate trifle! He was perched on the edge of the bowl and for no apparant reason, suddenly jumped into the bowl! Needless to say, I had to give him a bath as he was all chocalatey!

Yes, chocolate is toxic to budgies and they should be caged if you're drinking wine. The budgie really should have seen a vet, especially with it falling off the perch. Chocolate is toxic as well.

Is chocolate toxic to budgies?? Cheeky absolutely loves chocolate and he's been getting it for years, he also has a wee drop wine (just a tiny drop!) and he's still going strong :sport: Hopefully he'll be around for a lot longer!

When it comes to foods that should never be fed to budgies, the most common ones listed are chocolate, avocado, alcohol, and apple seeds.

 

I would stop giving him chocolate or alcohol, even in small doses. Give him healthy treats and fresh, clean water instead. He'll be better off for it!
