what food should i feed my budgies to get them into condition, and what greens should i give them

Feed them exactly what you should be feeding them anyway. Normal seed, heaps of veggies and have a cuttlefish bone in the cage. Mine get lots of chickweed too, which is growing around here like...a weed! They all get a homemade chew toy too...but I'm running out of bottle lids for right now...

The birds should be back in condition in a few weeks.

 

Hang on, why do you want your budgies in condition if you don't even know what to feed them? If you're going to breed, you're putting the nest box before the knowledge. There's heaps you should learn before adding a box...Lin and Nerwen and Karen know more then I do about the hazards of breeding then I do, I'm still eggless...

i haven't put the box in yet, anyway i have done loads of research since and i know exactly what to give them

Don't give them any fatty seed like sunflower. Keep them on the smaller grains. A good diet means better clutches.
