After the budgies mate how long until :nest: eggs appear and do they need to mate more than once for eggs to appear.

it can chance depending on if this is there first time or not, the hen has to also get us to the next box and what to do which can take up to two week. But once the first egg appears then the others will follow every two days and the birds will mate every day.
