Keeping Cool For Summer

Anyone got any bright ideas on how i can keep my bedroom nice and cool so that Buzz and her future family don't over heat? She is sitting on 8 eggs and i hate to even think how hot it'll get when the babies start to feather up! :budgiedance: Would putting a frozen gel pack on the lid of the nest box as well as leaving my window open do the trick? For the last few days i've just had the window open constantly and that seems to be keeping my room quite comfortable but it's sure to get hotter soon.

Should do. With my rabbit I put a frozen cooldrink bottle in, so that she can lay near it or not. Just be careful it doesn't drip, from condensation, into the box.

I will put it on a tea towel to absorb any drippy-ness. :budgiedance:

Air Conditioner ^_^

You can put a wet tea towel over half the cage and as the wind blows through it, it will cool the birds.

Got to keep the towel wet though.

I'm thinking about getting a small fan to set up in my room. The wet towel idea's good but keeping it wet could be interesting. I suppose putting the tops in a container of water on top of the cage would work. :)
