help...i read a post talking about measuring there birds seeds out into the seed bowl and how they should have :P 2 teaspoons?and egg mix whats that??? :P:P

Egg and Biscuit mix can be bought at a good pet store. Yes only give about 2 teaspoons of food a day. If you give them more, they will just eat their favourite seeds out of the mix, and not get a good balanced diet

In my avery that just wouldn't work...I have a bird feeder that hangs in the middle and they sort of have to work to get it because the openings are not huge just big enough for their little heads to get at the seed. My birds love their grasses and fruit and vegies as well. :fear

Yes, don't forget about healthy veggies and pellets. Measuring out seed does little good if seed is the only food he gets! :fear

ummmm feeder they get fresh veg and millet spray they have a calciam pirch and a banna and plain mineril cube...i hav 2 birds so they should only recieve 4tablespoons?

i dont measure mine but rather fill 2 seed cups (one for each budgie) to about a third. this works out to about 1 tablespoon, or 1 tablespoon and a bit each. basically just try to feed as much seed as your budgie can eat in a day. if there are still lots of seeds left at the end of the day reduce the amount - makes them eat all the different grains as lin said :)

they also have at least one cooked or fresh food available to them every day aswell as the seeds.
