Lucky me has woken up with horrible, yukky croupe (sp?) this morning. Very p****d off cause i've been told that you should grow out of that but apparently i haven't. :P Anyways, a virus like this can't be passed from human to budgie can it? I don't want to make Blinks sick.

Never heard of growing out of a virus, it is just a bug we all get when our immune system is low. Drink a lot of fluids, lay in bed warm an snug, and I do not believe a human virus can be transferred to a bird. Hugs Bea.

Well everyone is saying that with croupe as you get older your airways get bigger....something along those lines which means you can't get it. mum told the person she was talking to and the person said "you can't get croupe at her age!". :P I don't think you can give human viruses to budgies either but i just wanted to double check.

gotcha I thought it was just a normal virus. Have you ever been tested for asthma or breathing problems?

Yes, Bea you can get croup at any age - and whooping cough too! :P

Croups a icky cough that sounds like a seal barking. I've had a couple of hot chocolates which made my throat feel a bit better and Blinkie has been preening my eyelashes for me (one less thing i have to do later :ausb:). I think mums hoping i lose my voice. :P I just want to get better so i can go to my friends place tomorrow and see Harry Potter on Thursday.

Poor Bea, and it hurts to cough too doesn't it? I get that kind of cough sometimes with allergies. Yuck. I hope you feel better soon. Get extra sleep, drink lots of water, and take care of yourself. :P

Well Blinkie and his eyelash preening talents have helped me to feel much better. I'm going shopping with my friend soon. I even went to her Year 10 Graduation thingy and of course got a coughing fit right in the middle of it. :D

(Laughing out loud) Bea, I am glad you have a personal groomer that is neat :D Oh and your mom would never thing that
