Posted November 26, 200519 yr i have one pair in a breeding cage and two in the avairy with breeding boxes, and only the pair in the cage have managed one baby why wont they breed what am i doing wrong? any halp is appreciated

Hi Daz is right........ may be the perches are loose or to thick ( when the mating occurs the hen needs to grab the perch and the male sits ontop off her expierienced male birds hang on young male are clumsy.. 1. Check the perch is firm :sport: 2. check the perch is not to thick :sport: 3. put a perch close to the nest box 4. seperate the males and females for a few months :yelling: 5. When you put them together to mate GET READY for babies :feedbirds: Regards Doc :ausb:
