March 2, 200619 yr Thanks Nerwen I have been so busy with moving and stuff I haven't really had time to come on line much but also I had to move Max and Sherbet to my Mum's house as soon as I saw the eggs because I can keep a close eye on them here....with moving them and disturbing them so much I wasn't sure how the eggs would go....or Max and Sherbet for that matter...and I didn't want to upset anyone if they didn't hatch or something went wrong....but that said they are all healthy, chirpy little babies and Mum and Dad are fine also ......number 5 has arrived Sherbet is a first time Mum but she is really showing me how it's done.......and to think I was worried, reading all the stories about how usually you lose some in a first nesting etc. I was really worried about moving them but knew it was best for them in the long run. All my girls are absolutely brilliant Mum's and I really have nothing to worry about.....Max is loving his sweet corn at the moment.........must be sherbets favorite!
March 2, 200619 yr Sounds like all is going well Bec. I feed my parents of chicks Snow pea sprouts, sprouted seeds - like mung bean pea or lentle, grated carrot / or sweet corn, cellery. I also sprinkle either multi vitamin or protein. They also get a tea spoon of hulled oats each day. and a teaspoon of dry egg and biscuit. (couldn't get them to touch the wet stuff) With this mix they will certainly grow big and strong. Let us know how they go. Edited March 2, 200619 yr by daz
March 15, 200619 yr I'm really confused :bluebudgie: two of the babies are light blue with white all over their wings! one is looking like a normal green and the other two look yellow with black on the wings. I wasn't expecting blue anything...wish I could post pictures!
