Could somebody please help me to identify what mutation this is.

I don't have a colour of his back but he has a large green marking underneath his wings. He has absolutely no markings on his head or wings, hes all yellow except for a square shaped marking on his back. His eyes are black.

anyway heres a picture.

Thankyou :)

If he has a green splotch on his back, he is pied. If his eyes have a visible iris ring, he is probably doublefactor dominant pied. If they do not and he is over a year old, he is probably a recessive pied.

He's a lovely budgie.

I agree with Rainbow, yet I lean to the fact that he is a recessive pied.

I would say that he is a double factor dominant pied like rainbow..

Why I say this, is because I have never seen a recessive pied with those markings.

How old is your bird?

^George - daz's bird

I believe when bek said 'underneath his wings' he was meaing just above is tail, Imight be wrong and int hat case then yes a DF dominant would suit.

Bek can we get some pics of this green patch and the markings on his head?

I forgot about george..(Laughing out loud).. But I can see dark lines around his eyes, although he is very different for a recessive..thanks nerwen..

He is only a couple of months old at the moment. Probably around 8months-ish.

 thankyou

bek can you clear something up is the patch of color you spoke of under the wings, like you only see it when the wings are up or on the rump of the bird, just above the tail?

The patch of green is only seen when the wings are stretched out. The green is not above the tail, it is much higher than that.
