Posted October 26, 200519 yr Hi There I just purchase this cage from a Retail outlet for $37.95 the one I wanted was $69.95 but I thought with a few adjustments I could convert it to suit the Hot summer ahead. as you can see from the photo there air circulation to the breading box was not really looked at in this design so do you think I should cut a square hole in the side so it would make it easyer to slide the box out for inspection I purchase this box because it was cheap so do you think modding it will help. http://www.filehigh.com/serve/6844/53846.jpg
October 26, 200519 yr Either that or after you cut your hole modify the box so you don't have to slide it out. Would it be feasible to hinge that end of the box so you could just flip it up (or down) to see inside and for cleanouts? You could latch it so your birds can't open it.
October 26, 200519 yr mm sounds good to me I purchase the new box so when one pair have finished I can take out the old cage and breeding box and overhaul the old one's As in new dowl and breeding box there about 2 years old now so I think its time thanks for the idea's anymore would be kindly appreciated
