Your green recessive pied is a looker too, but that little violet I just love If her (err she?) has an iris ring then i'm wrong and he is a dominant.

The white circle around the eye is called the iris ring, just like our own iris yet they don't get different colours like us.

 

 

*Squints at picture* The cere looks very puprle so I think you might have a male there. If the bars on the head go all the way to the cere then he hasn't had his first moult yet so away where from 6 weeks to around 3 months. ans yes a picture of his back would help.

What is the yellow headed bird with the blue bit under his tummy?

I have a young girl with a yellow head, the yellow goes down to her mid chest, and a thin line of blue down her tummy with the sides being green.

Her name's Mango, she was given to me by a friend of mine.

i was told yellow face type 2 spangle(or type 2 yellow blue?)
