I'm fairly sure it is stainless steel. It is a zipper pull from a designer athletic Fleece shirt i have. It has been washed many times, with No signs or war or rust.

 

It's molded, it is about 2 inches long and 1/2 wide and deep (i wish i could take a pict but i forgot my camera in my desk at school?%$@&*&!), bright silver, a bit scratched from the use but same material inside, not just coated. It smooth, there is a logo imprinted in it and 4 holes in it.

 

It gives a wonderfull feeling just touching it and my bird it going CRAZY with it. Broke the zipper so he could have it and them it became his favorite footsie toy. He has been playing with it for 4 hours!!!!! Biting it, felling it with his tongue, passing it from paw to paw. He even goes down the tree all the way down to get it when drops (a big trouble for him).

 

I Just want to be safe with this. How can i be sure it is Stainless steel.

You could write to the manufacturer to ask them. Or maybe the tag will say what materials were used to make it as well? If not, try writing to the manufacturer telling them exactly what the product is and asking what the zipper is made of.
