Posted May 11, 200421 yr Well, after months and months of shopping for a digital camera, I now have one! That means I can photograph my birds and cages and so on! ALL IMAGES HAVE BEEN COMPRESED FOR THE WEB, so they wount look as near as good as my camera takes them at. I will be adding here to the list of photo in this post, so as I take more, i will add in. Also look out for other posts I make with images in them. Well, here goes! Ill start with my fav pets. 1. This is Beedy! (boy) (picture below) Died 18/8/04 - My first budgie I ever had as a pet and also my first budgie out of the nest when I first started breeding. One of the friendliest and most tame birds I have ever seen. It took MANY MANY hours to tame him and its worth it. He free flys and is so much fun! :bluebudgie: He speaks over 30 words, and eats breakfast and dinner with me. He also won 'pet of the night' at my budgie club I was SO amazed when I saw a grey coloured bird! Not anymore! LOL 2. This is Jessy! (girl) (picture below) I decided to breed a friend for Beedy when I was not arround, and so I did. She is a girl, duh! lol and is pied. Again, breed by me, but at this point, more experiance I have in breeding. She is not as near as tame as my other featherd friend, Beedy, but is nice enough to me! 3. My aviary (picture below) I have 2 main aviaries. This is one, its not big, but I like it! About 200 birds in this one. I will take a picture of my other aviary soon! Also, Inside this cage: The Breeding Room: A closeup of the 'youngster' flight cage: Baby budgies in my nest box, hatched not to long ago: More grown up baby budgies in the nest box: My Second Aviary! (bigger): Some of my budgies sitting in a row in the aviary Someone asked me to post a violet budgie, well here it is! My other pet budgie named Mickey - Replacement for Beedy My new pet budgie - Ricky - 6 weeks old (correct grey colour) Ricky again (lighting changed, not that blue) Well, that is all I have for now! Check back later! Feel free to post any comments/questions you have! :parrot: Edited December 29, 200519 yr by adam

May 15, 200421 yr how old is beedy? He looks like a old man budgie, but that just might be cos he's grey! (Laughing out loud)
May 15, 200421 yr Author LOL, he is 5 years old. He is so cool! Grey looks like an old type of colour doesnt it? ----- Picture Update Our club just had its meeting on friday. I have taken some pics of some of the birds on show and of the club's library, so ill post them shortly.
May 16, 200421 yr 5 years is pretty old though. HAs he got a pink ring? My oldest is 9!!! she's a lutino named Wattle My dad reckons they can live for 20 years (as if)
May 16, 200421 yr Author yep, they sure can live for 20 years if looked after well. Its true. He has a blue ring.
May 16, 200421 yr probably have to be a small budgie cos the bigger show budgies die so young. It's sad cos they're prettier they should live longer
May 17, 200421 yr i think it's co the more u breed the budgies to look like they do in the standard the further away they are genetically from the wild budgie so they have problems with there health and stuff.
May 17, 200421 yr Author thats right, humans have interfeared with the budgie, so this is what happens. PS, I might of forgot to say, I will edit-in pictures into my first post, so keep checking.
May 17, 200421 yr Author ############## image update! ############## Breeding Room photo now added to the first post.
