how long does it take for a baby to eat its way out of the shell?

Can't help you there cause i've never actually seen a baby hatch.

I think I read somewhere that it was either 24 or 48 hours, I remember thinking it seemed a long time. But, since I got my computer fixed I've lost all my bookmarks, so i can't check

Some of mine have hatched in 2 hours! I have checked at 1pm no baby then at 3pm there was a baby..

oh and no eggs were cracked at 1pm.

It couldn't wait to join you obviously!

Some can take upto 48 hours. All depends on temp and humidity.
