purple feet, green beak, sore feet

I visited my nana yesterday, she has a budgie called Beauty who is sky blue in colour. I noticed that Beauty's beak was a green colour and her feet were sort of purple in colour, the bottom of her feet look a painful red with small sores on them. My two budgies, one a sky blue, both have pink feet and orange beaks so I wonder if there is something wrong with Beauty? We don't know how old she is, over two years old at least.

Beauty's cere is crusty brown but I think it is losing condition. She didn't come from the best of backgrounds, my Nana and I have been pegging brocolli and carrot and other things to the inside of the cage for quite a few weeks now but Beauty stays as far away from them as possible, she hasn't tried to take a nibble of them so shes on a seed-only diet basically. We're not going to give up with the fruit and veg though. She does chew on her cuttlefish and iodine block, and only in the last few days has she sat on the perch where the veg is pegged near to, so hopefully she will give it a nibble soon! Are Beauty's feet and beak are a different colour because of her diet?

She has plastic and some natural wood perches, could the ridged plastic ones be causing the sores on her feet? The perches are all sort of the same size, the natural wood ones are quite thin though but she doesn't have any really thick ones, would adding thicker branches to her cage help with her sore feet? I had a rat with the same problem although it was called bumblefoot, I would spray this stuff called Purple Spray (aka Blue Kote in America) which was from horse suppliers, its basically an antiseptic but it healed my rat's bumblefoot right up. Could I use that on Beauty's feet?

I hope someone can help!

Is this the colours you're talking about?

The undersides of the feet are more pinky than the top aswell.

Yes like that, the feet are a bit lighter I think though! So is it normal? Its just compared to my budgie of the same type it looks weird! (Laughing out loud).

I know the soles of their feet are paler but it looks like an angry red patches and some of the skin is broken.

Well perhaps the feet should get checked out by a vet if they look sore but everything else is normal. A lot of budgies have that coloured beak and skin. :)

Well I feel dumb now :P I'm still learning about budgies though :D Thanks for your help!

The feet mean it carries Cinnamon. My Skyblue has grey feet and he carries cinnamon.

I don't think it does. It's just the colour most normal variety (not pied, ino) get. They can't ALL carry cinnamon.
