August 26, 200519 yr you know i have been looking for nutriberries for ages, i cant find them anywhere. i think i will be tempted to make my own now! thanks
August 26, 200519 yr Somewhere on that website is a recipe for avi-cakes, too. Pixie, I know you said you couldn't find those, either.
August 26, 200519 yr excellent! im going to print them all off :book: they sound yummy and im going to try converting casper to harrisons again soon so hopefully it will help. sorry to double post here guys, but i have another question. i noticed in some of the other recipies that you need to buy hulled seed, do you need to get this for the nutriberries too? i dont think i have seen hulled seeds on sale but thats just maybe because i havent looked for them before! *post merged* -Nerwen
August 27, 200519 yr I couldn't tell you...maybe go to a bulk feed/seed store, farm supply place? Or, you could sit for hours hulling all the seed.
August 27, 200519 yr are honey seed bells made out of hulled seed? i think they are normal? if i used normal seed would they just hull them in their beaks anyway or would it be hard for them because of the texture, shape?
August 27, 200519 yr The bought ones (seed bells) don't look like hulled seed, so I would assume you just use normal seed. How on earth do you hull seed? Individually?
August 27, 200519 yr I can't imagine a mechanical way to successfully de-hull seeds! And if it was done seed by seed can you imagine how expensive a packet of it would be?! :(Laughing out loud):
August 27, 200519 yr i will use ordinary trill (Laughing out loud), it was the avicakes recipie that said to use hulled seed and that threw me a bit
August 27, 200519 yr It's not cooking if you do it for your birds Julie It's only cooking when you have to do it, every single day, after day, after day... I hate cooking too, as you can probably tell
August 27, 200519 yr I agree...cooking for the humans is a chore sometimes. We had another breakthrough here, though. Blueberri is eating the Beak Appetit "cream of tweet." Yay!
