That particular seller is really really good on prices. Those same cages in a pet store would be so much more (if they even carried them, I've never seen them in a store). But yeah, the price is unbelieveably good! Even their large parrot cages are really cheap.

I forgot to mention that the pet stores near me are REALLY REALLY STINKIN' STUPID. :(Laughing out loud): They only carry the "popular" cages at ridiculous prices.

That stinks. I have three bird exclusive stores that are really nice within a 30 minute ride- but I guess I'm lucky!

Some day I might breed budgies (at least once) but I'm not in the position to do so right now. For now, I'll just put my non-breeding budgies in breeding cages. I like that they're really wide.

 

Um... I should also clarify that I don't plan on "breeding" myself anytime soon. Children don't like me.

I think they call anything long & low a breeding cage. That's what I was looking for when I posted the e-Bay link.

 

And, eterri, just because other kids don't like you is no reason not to have any. Consider your own kids your little private army.

My 3-year-old tells me she loves me all the time...then she asks for a cookie. And so it begins...

It's all just bribery, Morethanrubies. We bribe our birds with millet, and then pretend they love us, and we bribe our children with sugary treats, and then pretend they love us for us, instead of the fact that we are keepers of the treats. I'm happier in ignorance of all this, aren't you?

Oh, yes! And, since I have girls, there is a lot of manipulation, pouting, and other hysterics. Girls hold grudges. Boys just punch each other & the argument is over.

Your right there - I have 3 boys, and a constant supply of ice for bruises... But they get over it quicker than I do!

We have a "boo-boo bunny." It's a little washcloth twisted into a bunny-ish shape with a little pink ribbon & you put ice inside so it doesn't hurt your delicate girly skin.

Just a quick reply . I like the cages . They are called Flight cages . But mainly go under the term of carry cages or Vet cages . I dont like the wire. It is too thick and will cause DEATH . As it has done to me for ( made one die ) . As he got a injury from the cage and we got him to the vet and died in the hand of the vet . Does any Know the Brand that makes them ? . Cuase would'nt mind having a word with them .

What do you mean by "too thick"- are the bars too far apart?

Too thick? The bar spacing is 1/2" which is ideal for budgies but I'd love to hear more about what happened (and I'm very sorry that it did).

 

I have my cages set up and so far I haven't seen anything dangerous about them but this is definitely worrying to hear.
