Posted August 25, 200519 yr So, I'm finally getting these cages for my birds (four budgies, two cockatiels) and I'm already getting excited about setting them up. I know at least one person here has them but I can't remember who. If anyone has these could you tell me what you think of them? I'd also LOVE to see how you set yours up. I don't think I'll use the dowel perches that they come with at all. Instead, I think I want to use various perches attached to the front and back panel to make the most use of the horizontal space. Maybe a couple of forward-facing perches near the middle and of course, plenty of toys and such. I'd love to see what other people have done with these cages. I am going to have a lot of extra cages because I can only buy these as a set of four and I'll only need three at the most. Then I've got the other cages that I have now and won't be using at all (except maybe the smallest one as a travel cage for my 'tiels). I think it's time to sell the on ebay before I get too tempted to add another feathery friend to the flock.
August 26, 200519 yr WOW!!! Those cages are great Terri!! You're birds will love them! And as it's a set of four you'd better get one of those yellow parrotlets to fill the extra!! :(Laughing out loud):
August 26, 200519 yr Do they interlock? I've seen them alone in pet shops, they are REALLY wide. Your birds will have a ball

I can't say I haven't thought of that but it's just not feasible at the moment. (I wish!) Do they interlock? I've seen them alone in pet shops, they are REALLY wide. Your birds will have a ball <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure they're stackable so I'm really happy about that. I have limited space so this seemed like the best option.
August 26, 200519 yr I just realized, you're buying from the same place where I got my new cage! I was happy with them. Can't wait for pics of the birds in their new homes.
August 26, 200519 yr are there ment to be pictures on that link eterri? i cant see them for some reason
August 26, 200519 yr Yeah, it's a link to a website that sells cages (desmond pet depot). Maybe it will work for you later? That's odd!
August 26, 200519 yr It's demsond for some reason, I always thought it was "desmond" but when my package came it was the Dem not the Des. Whatever. Just to make it hard, I guess. I believe their website is www.demsondpetdepot.com if anyone cares. They're also on e-Bay.
August 26, 200519 yr Wow, I feel so blind! I took a look and now I see it as Demsond whereas it's always looked like Desmond to me. They should change it. :(Laughing out loud):

August 26, 200519 yr I have a single one of those cages. It is not set up at the moment. The budgies loved it. I left one of the dowel perches there, but bought a lot of other perches too. The doors tilt to stay up, but I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, rely on that. I bumped the cage once and the door came down on Libbi! She was able to jump through, but we were both traumatized. I used clothespins until I had to take the cage down due to space constraints It should be set up again soon.
August 26, 200519 yr there exactly what i wanted cant find them in the uk and what a price for 4 i would hate to see how much they would be in the uk
August 26, 200519 yr Try e-Bay. Demsond pet depot has an e-Bay store & they ship worldwide, I believe. There are other cage sellers on e-Bay as well. Not sure of shipping charges, though. Just search for budgie cages or flight cages, or even breeding cages. Tons of stuff pops up.
August 26, 200519 yr there might be a lot on ebay in the us but none on ebay in the uk and as i want about 16 it might be a bit expensive to ship
August 26, 200519 yr That kind of stinks. I love my cage, and its too bad the whole world can't get them at a reasonable price
August 26, 200519 yr just looked on ebay us i could cry http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-of-6-Aviary-Breedi...1QQcmdZViewItem
August 26, 200519 yr hath, I wish I could get them to you somehow!! My boyfriend lives in London and he'll be here Wednesday um...if they weren't so huge I'd send a bunch back with him to ship to you. If only! I really like the purple ones.
August 26, 200519 yr thanks i really cant believe the prices over there they are unreal compared to here
