August 26, 200519 yr If your bird goes more than a day or two without eating take him to the vet. I'm worried now you may have exposed your first bird to an illness. It's always a good idea to quarantine any new birds away for at least 30 days. If a vet trip shows any illness, tell your vet you need medications for two.
August 26, 200519 yr Yes you should quarantine although it may be too late now. Have you tried millet? Sometimes a new bird takes a while to start eating but it's usually only one or two days,no longer. Julie
August 26, 200519 yr Libbi didn't eat for four days after she came home. We were in a panic by the time a friend came over, talked to her, and then suddenly she jumped to the front of the cage and did not stop eating for 2 hours. I would seperate the two birds and put the food bowl near the top and the back of the cage. If it is in the front, the bird may be too scared to come to the front. Put millet in there too. I hope this helps! Edited August 26, 200519 yr by birdie2008
