Posted August 25, 200519 yr Sir Whiskers and Bandit seem to be getting much, much better after 10 days on antibotics! Sir Whiskers has almost stopped sneezing, and honestly he just won't shut up He just sqwarks all day now - and seems to find it most humourous to wake me up very very early in the morning :ausb:
August 25, 200519 yr Thats great! psittacosis is a bugger of a thing! Just make sure you pay close attention to symptoms so you can get them treated again the second you notice them behaving a bit off again.
August 25, 200519 yr Isn't it great to see them acting so much better? I'm very happy for you. Make sure you do the whole 45 days of antibiotics (I think that's what I read) so you can be sure they are well. I know it's tempting to stop after they begin to act like they feel better.
August 25, 200519 yr Are you aware that humans can become ill from this? Not meaning to scare you but I think it needs mentioning. Julie

Hehe, too much ciggies and alcohol will do that But on a serious note yeah I was aware of that. Basically if I get crook, I'll just go to the doctor. It is kinda scary, but I figure ah well, its pritty rare to catch.
August 26, 200519 yr Yes you're right it is rare to catch it but I'm glad you're aware anyway! And those ciggies will do you more harm anyway Julie
