August 23, 200519 yr Do you mean pomegranite? I've seen birds eating them in my garden, but I'm not sure if they're safe for budgies
August 23, 200519 yr Its pomegranates dear <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or there is something else called pomegranite?
August 23, 200519 yr pomegranite Is this what you mean? I was just reading that if you boil the rind it is an old remedy for tapeworm. Still looking to see if it's okay for budgies
August 23, 200519 yr Found a couple of sites where it says they are fine for budgies, and other parrots, so I don't see a problem

August 23, 200519 yr brian hasnt had tea or coffee! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :(Laughing out loud): That's EXACTLY why I don't drink either! Well, I drink tea sometimes when I have a sore throat, my mom practically forces me to, though. I can't stand the taste of coffee, though.

We say to mean we forgot something that we should know- like your best friends name or how to multiply(yes, I've forgotten both of those in the same day) As for pomegranites, they are safe for birds- Ami loves them, but the juice from the seeds squirts and looks like blood.
August 23, 200519 yr Well I put one in the aviary this morning, We'll see if it looks like a sceen from Psyco when I get home
August 23, 200519 yr i remember eating a pomegranate with a cocktail stick when i was younger............mmmmmmmm nostalgia
August 23, 200519 yr Well I put one in the aviary this morning, We'll see if it looks like a sceen from Psyco when I get home <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, rasberries are worse! You'd have sworn we murdered the bird right there on the perch! It was dripping off and Ami had gotten it on her feathers, her feet and her beak. My brother had given her ten of them though, and she loves them! Now she only gets one, and eats it on the washable counter...
August 23, 200519 yr spell checker! raspberries <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I never knew how to spell it... So I just wrote what it sounded like ... Sorry
August 24, 200519 yr I've never had one before. I remember for some reason someone bringing them into our class in 5th grade when we were trying greek & roman foods during a unit. They looked too disgusting for me to try, though. Maybe I'll try one now that I'm older, wiser, and a bit braver (I think!). ARE they a greek or roman food? Maybe they just ate them in the past.
August 24, 200519 yr They grow pomegranates in huge orchards (fields?) here. The plant is really very pretty. Weeping willow-type thing. I LOVE pomegranates. People even have the plants growing in their yards here. They stain pretty bad, though, so you might have some burgundy-colored birds for a while. :artist
