babies just out and already laying eggs. What shall i do? shall i remove the boxes so that the hens rest a bit?

yes

Its best to let the hens rest for a while between clutches, ideally they should only be bred twice a year.

Just something that came into my mind. Feed her with more veggies and vitamins to help her body to cope.

thanks!

i guess no it is too late as one layed six and the other five no it is not worth taking the boxs away no?

I wouldn't as there may be fertile eggs, but other people might have different ideas. But definately do not let them breed again as the raising of chicks takes alot of their fat & energy reserves, breed them too much and you risk killing the hen or getting weak & sickly chicks.

if its her second round leave her she will be fine just make sure she is fed high quality food its the raising of chicks that takes it toll on on birds just remove the boxs next time

It was not my intention to breed them again the thing is that while the babies where still in the nest the laying of new eggs already begun. what shall i do if this happenes again as i cannot remove the nest boxes with the chicks still inside?

you have a couple of choices

1.let her lay then take the eggs away

2. remove the hen when the chicks are about three weeks old the cock bird should feed them

3. as number two but remove the cock bird

I agree with hath, I've taken the eggs away before, you can also shake the eggs and put them back then they want hatch.. :)

Hath I have a question, have you had males that wont feed their young when the female is removed??

not when i have removed the female but i have had when the female died and the chicks were younger than three weeks
