come on i'm sure this isnt a hard Question to answer... gosh lots of you have breeding boxes !!!

:)

Nest boxes are made from ply wood, perhaps breeding cages are too.

thought so thanks !

Don't go for the cheap manufactured ones they are sometimes made with MDF which are dangerous to us humans let alone budgies.

MDF is Daz? Why's that (Gee your a mine of information!)

now i must have missed that earlier post as all my cages are made of mdf and i have never had a problem ive had them for 3 years now i think

Thanks Daz. It's amazing what is out there, that we just don't know about isn't it?

wow interesting....

i saw a bird box and all the sides were chip board and the bottom and top were mdf.

whats the take on chip board..... obviously it comes appart easily but is it dangerous too ???

bird could EASILY chew through it.

now i must have missed that earlier post as all my cages are made of mdf and i have never had a problem ive had them for 3 years now i think

Hath I have sheets of MDF that I use to make cupboards and other furniture. But I seal it and paint it so it is harmless but not in the raw state.

Here in Australia you can buy breeding boxes out of it. I'll make mine out of ply. Just to be safe :D

all mine are painted so that is why i must have not had any problems
