when i lived in spain many years ago when i was 9 i didn't eaven know what a budgie was!!!

untill one day i was walcking alaska my dog ,i heard a tweet i looked up to see a blue bird in the tree i used to climb.

i said "mum, whats that funny blue bird" mum was amazed and said its a budgie and being a animal lovers i climbed up the tree and held my hand out surprisingly he came onto it. i took him down and rapped him in my t-shirt so the dog wouldn't see. when i got home i put him in a small finch cage (wich i had found by a load of rubish months earlyer and being me took the cage home).

i loved him! he loved me! he was around 4 years and was v. freindly. and bang on 7am evrey day he would wake up and wake evry one else up by cherping

we got him a bigger cage and cared for him, he was a funny freindly bird with no name or ring we put up posters but no one claimed. a week after i got him and no one had come for him i was eating dinner and dad had couscous when anyone said the word couscous my budgie tweeted he loved the word couscous and so his name became cous-cous.

the sad day of moving came and i had to part with my beloved cous-cous as we couldent take him abroud without a passport. i gave him to an older freind who loved him i kept in contact for a few months but somehow stoped.

i got more budgies and started my avery and the outher day when bliss had flowen off i got a phone call it was my freind and she said that cous-cous was still alive and still waking up bang on 7 to wake evrey1 eles up.

i was so happy that my litttle cous-cous (who must be realy old) is still going!
