August 12, 200519 yr Never seen one or heard of one, any chance of a picture? I know it might be copyrighted tho. Do they have a web site?
August 12, 200519 yr Author http://www.sweeting-budgerigars.co.uk/2003%20babies.html found this third section down it sounds if they originated in the states
August 12, 200519 yr WOW that is a stunning looking bird. It kinda looks like someone as been washing the colour off him what is with the very big black dots on the others, very odd looking not what I think a budgie is at all
August 12, 200519 yr Yeah I know, just odd looking to me, that's one of the reasons I know I will never become a show breeder I really hope I get to see one of these frosted pieds at the Royal Brisbane Show (ekka) this year. Is one of the biggest show for budgies and chooks and heaps of farm animals. I'll take a camare along and if there is one take a few pics. (with permission of cuase)
August 12, 200519 yr me too They will come I'm sure Hath do you know how the genes work is it recessive or dominant? sex-linked?
August 13, 200519 yr That is a beautiful bird! I wonder what the standard on a frosted pied is? What makes that particular bird a "frosted" pied?
August 13, 200519 yr Author the article gives no evidence either way recessive or dominant sex-linked
