Posted August 11, 200519 yr I know I read somewhere here how to tell the sex of the babies. Something to do with white near the nostril? as to where that means boy/girl i just dont remember!
August 11, 200519 yr Females generally have distinct white circles around their nostrils and males either have no rings or a very light almost transparent ring around the nostrils. Here's a link to a topic Rainbow started about this including pictures.
August 12, 200519 yr I heard that you watch their behaviour. The male is more friendly and the female more aggressive. When they get older you look for the red and blue ceres(bit above their beaks) red=female blue=male Kt
August 12, 200519 yr behavior is probably the most unreliable method but sometimes it can give a hint. The ceres are quite tricky too. http://eterri.com/budgiegender.html
August 12, 200519 yr Thought i'd just post this picture i have of Jasper and Bubble side by side, it really show the comparason between a baby boy and a baby girl. Bubble (top) is a girl and Jasper is a boy.
