Posted August 2, 200520 yr Just fed my budgies a huge branch of gum leaves and of course they dived right in. I was just wondering are gum leaves nutritious or just really tasty?
August 2, 200520 yr Wow I just mentioned gum leaves in another topic, all my birds just love them and the flowers and honky nuts too. I would think they would have to be nutritious in some way, the wild nomad budgie's, of Australia, main access to anything green would be the leaves of gum trees as they are mostly in inland dry areas. But I'm sure they taste great too.
August 3, 200520 yr Author I just thought that they wouldn't have much energy or anything. I asked because koala's who live on them have so little energy because they are mainly water or something like that. :grbud:
