Final health update on Merlin

Well, since I saw my little man two days ago, the difference is HUGE! He doesn't have as many pinfeathers around his face, his colour has majorly changed and he's a garbage guts. As soon as the fresh water went in this morning he dived into the bowl :P and cleaned off all the ickky medicine, but got coated in probiotics in the process :(Laughing out loud):

Mum seems to think the brown is coming away from his cere and it's going back to blue again, but I think he'll be a girl in a few months time ;) He's currently sitting on the table in his cage eating his seed treat as we apparently need to put some more weight on him, preferably another 3gms. He's not talking to me because i left him alone, :rip: so he's having a sulk..

Edited to say, he's started eating his veggies as he hasn't had much else offered aside from seed, and grape is the new favourite. He'll also be heading off for a stay at the vet nurses house to be converted to pellets in about three weeks time in the hopes that will help him stay healthy!

YAY Glad to hear that the little man :P is gettting better. Fingers crossed that he behaves and doesn't fall ill again.

Glad he's going back to his old self again! Hope he continues improving!!! :P

s/he is absolutely insane.... Ripping up spinach and putting it in piles on the floor is the new fun thing...

We also somehow climbed up the perch with the ball in our beak and dropped it onto the ground :) :(Laughing out loud): Smart birdie!

great to hear s/he is back to making mischief and happy and playful

We also somehow climbed up the perch with the ball in our beak and dropped it onto the ground  :(Laughing out loud): Smart birdie!

Isn't it amazing what they can do with balls? :(Laughing out loud): Blinkie's best trick has to be hanging from the ladder with one leg and holding the ball in the other!

TeGz that's good to hear-let's hope he/she has turned a corner and is on the road to health and happiness!

Julie

Thats wonderful news!!! Im so pleased merlin is getting back to the little imp s/he should be.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hooray for Merlin! Doesn't it just make you giddy to see him/her feeling so good?

*sigh* She was looking so good, better than ever... This morning there is discharge on her nostrils again... So we're going to dose her up to the eyeballs on Baytril since we still have half a container for a few days and see what happens. She's still eating and chirpy as anything.

We just can't afford another vet bill she's only been healthy for two weeks! Hopefully it's just a cold because it was freezing yesterday and she got a little bit of the breeze... Poor Merly.
