I Already Have A Big Cage That My Two Budgies Live In Happily But I'm Planning On Breeding Them And The Cage Isn't Big Enough To Hold A Nesting Box, I've Had Them For About 6 Weeks And Was Wondering If It Would Stress Them Out If I Put Them In A New Cage, I Don't Want To Stress Either Of Them Out So If It Will I'll Happily Not Breed Them And I'll Leave Them In The Cage Their In Now. Any Help Will Be Appreciated, Thankyou

Well,I'm not a breeder but there are many experienced folk on here. Personally, and as a non breeder I would recommend that you spend time researching it all and really getting to know your birds for themselves first.

from what I've learned on here since I joined there are an awful lot of things to learn about before you decide whether breeding is really for you or not.

Would it be possible for you not to use capital letters on each word as I find it a bit hard to read-I don't know if it's just me or not! :redalbino:

okay, sorry.

If you've only had your birds for 6 weeks, unless you got them as an older pair from a friend or something, they are not old enough to breed anyway? They need to be over a year old, in my mind preferably 18 months before they breed. I'd let them settle in more, and work on taming them for now. It will help to have them tame so if anything goes wrong while they are breeding, you will be able to handle them or the babies without as much fuss or stress. You will also need to get them on a varied diet so they can store up vitamins and minerals. Breeding takes a lot out of the birds.

okay thankyou.
