Can someone tell me what I should do.

It appears rainbow (my budgie, not the moderator) has seed or somehting caught in her left eye near the nostril.

I tried to gently rub it off, some seed came away but it looks like it is inside the corner, possibly under the skin.

Can I remove it somehow???? or is it a job for the vet

I would say a vet, as I would be concerned about a scratch to the eye itself from the seed. I certainly wouldn't try to rub it or anything. Only thing I can suggest is to flush it with sterile water.

Thanks lin, I'll give it a try with sterile water, and if it is still there in the morning I'll take her to the vet.
