Posted June 26, 200520 yr Well when I let Sparky out yesterday my mum said she was going to give his cage a real good clean out, so she decided to disassemble the cage which was o.k until she started putting it back together and somehow broke some of the hinges off. So we went down to pets at home and bought Sparky another cage which he seems to be settling into nicely. What do you think?
June 26, 200520 yr (Laughing out loud) are you sure you didnt just want to get him a new one (Laughing out loud), that is a great new cage sparky!
June 26, 200520 yr I wanted to get Sparky a new cage but I didn't want to pay my last ?15 for it, and I was going to get a red cage but then I thought blue would suit Sparky better.
June 26, 200520 yr thats a lovely cgae! I bet sparky loves it in there. Is i bigger than the old one? Didn't you have one of those hagen ones (think thats the name of them)
June 27, 200520 yr Thanks guys This new cage is the same height as the old one but not quite as wide, suprisingly though Sparky has been really active in his new cage, he is playing with all his toys and is always hopping all over the cage non-stop. I don't know whats got into him.
June 27, 200520 yr I like that cage a loooot better than the Hagen Vision cages. Apparently having them fall apart or break isn't uncommon! Also, don't you find it MUCH easier to rearrange perches and toys now? Plus, Sparky will have more room to climb. I never liked that the climbing space on the vision cages is so limited because that's something budgies love to do! Not to mention, way better ventilation. Yay for the new cage! June 27, 200520 yr i agree! im glad sparky is happier now. maybe he was being grumpy before because he didnt like the decor! (Laughing out loud). i suppose only sparky will ever know the answer to that one.
June 27, 200520 yr Yes I do find it much easier to rearange his cage and Sparky has been climbing an awful lot . Thar vision cage is so rubbish that they are now seelling it for ?34 including the stand that comes with it. Pixie- Until man makes the breakthrough with animals I don't think we'll ever find out why Sparky has changed so much, but until then I will go with your guess. :bb: Edited June 27, 200520 yr by Sparky
June 27, 200520 yr (Laughing out loud) bless sparky. i can see another one of his adventures coming soon.
June 28, 200520 yr I hope so too, I couldn't take any shots last weekend because we were fresh out of batteries for the camera but I'll see if I can squeeze a story in during the week. :budgiedance:
June 28, 200520 yr Lovely cage there, it looks like the one I bought for Bitty.. they are much better than they look..really strong. Some I looked at looked like the birds could bend the bars themselves (Laughing out loud)..He definately suits his new home too :budgiedance:
June 29, 200519 yr $100 wow, I guess they must be better quality then the one I had. and thanks Trikkivix, Sparky is really settling in and has now gotten use to it, that is before I decided to rearrange his cage again.(Laughing out loud)
July 6, 200519 yr Hi Sparky, The cage is great! I have one just like it so im a little biased, is he still enjoying it? Just a little warning, only put seed in the pots that are provided and not water. I originally put water in one and seed in the other, one of my young budgies got stuck in the water pot while I was on the school run and drowned. Apart from that its a really cool cage. Sal.
July 6, 200519 yr thanks sallyc I've put his water in the little red thing on the right side of his cage and I'm sorry about what happened to your young budgie. Sparky still seems to be enjoying his and mainly sits on top of it when hes let outside the cage.
