On this website they talk about S.hemisphere +

Northern hemisphere. and the best time to breed.

Is what they are saying right, because if they are,

i should take out my nextboxs and put them back in

on september 1st.

My 4 hens cere have gone white since i put the boxs in

on the 27th may.

But they are mating, and always in the boxs.

Hi,

I am in USA, I put the nesting boxes in the aviary the middle of May. Of my 4 girls, one had a really dark cere. Now, 3 of the 4 have dark chocolate colored ones and they all have eggs, one of them has had 3 hatch. The fourth gal has only just mated, her cere is still light.

Your in the UK right? I grew up there and would say that putting your nesting boxes out in sept. would be quite cold for the little ones? Are they inside or outside? If outside, do you have a heating eliment? I am still new to this whole thing, but I would think they need the warmth of the summer.

Good Luck, and keep us posted!

I hope I helped a bit!

its a outdoor aviary.

plus as the cere on the 4 hens, has gone white now is it possible

to go back to a dark brown soon,I mean am i looking at days, weeks,

months.

Are they mating yet, or just checking out the boxes? Of my 4 girls, 3 didn'ht have a dark cere until they checked out the next boxes and started mating, then they went dark (one is still a creamy gold color).
