Well Oscar one of my budgies loves to chew on these plastic hanging balls, and one has cracked a bit probably from my dad stepping on in once. XD I'm just worried that he is chewing some little pieces of from when the ball cracked...is this bad? Should I take them out just to be safe?

I would definately take them out. The bird might get injured from a sharp piece. Keep an eye him, if he has swallowed a bit he might get sick.

Yea I decided to take it out as I figured it would be dangerous if he swallowed part of it. It must be nearly impossible to digest!

 

Since Oscar loves to chew things, what kind of toys would you suggest I get for him that are safe?

Get him one of those wooden bird toys that has like shaped fruit and stuff on them. The birds like to shred them.
