Household Cleaning

Hi everyone,

Im wondering what you use to clean your house?

When I clean anything related to my budgies, I use viniger. Also, when cleaning my room where the budgies are kept, I dont use any chemicals. Just a swiffer duster and the vaccum, and water, and viniger, and papertowel.

BUt Im wondering about what we use to clean the rest of the house. There is a bathroom next to my room, and I use fantastic and toilet duck. After I have cleaned the bathroom, I leave my door and that door shut for few hour to avoid anything harmfull.

They use fantastic and stuff like that when cleaning downstairs as well.

Do you think this is bad?

What do you use to clean?

household cleaners are safe as long as the budgies have no direct contact so that they can inhale it.

i only use hot water and avian disinfectant to clean around the birds house. the fumes wont be harmful if the budgies are in a separate room.

I think they should be fine with that. I just make sure I don't use any aerosols in the same room and I wait till they're out in the next room before I clean the room their cage is in.I rely a lot on an avian disinfectant in there but always make sure that everything has dried off thoroughly.

Washing up liquid and hot water is all I use. That and trying to put disposable objects under his favourite perches. I finally solved the lounge light fitting problem by buying a passable and washable rug. I don't particularly like rugs but I'm buying a new carpet later this year and I had to do something.
