as i have mentioned in my last post i, when i get my birds i may attach a small flight to the shed but as i have seen at my grandads house i am concerned about cats jumping up the avory sides and frightening the birds.non of my grandads birds have been harmed as yet but my grandad and i are wondering how to stop them doing this.i have 2 cats of my own and dnt want any of my birds hurt wen i get them.any info or past experiance would be great thx.

I've got outside aviaries with budgies, a weero and finches in. My cats sit on the top of the aviaries looking at the birds. They used to climb up the side of the cages and scare the birds. However, I had no injuries at all, and the birds don't bother about the cats at all anymore. In fact when my rainbow lorikeet was in the outside aviary she used to call the cats over and nip them on the nose. I really don't think the cats will overly bother the birds as long as they have a covered section they can use to get away from the cats.

hi there b.c.f.c.

Please could you be careful to not use text shortcuts, this is because it makes it difficult for people who aren't familiar with it to read posts and also for those who may not have English as their first language.

Thank you Julie
