Posted November 20, 20213 yr I have a female that look DF Dominant pied, but she has got 4 chicks with a normal partner and 3 of the chicks looks normal as well. But I expected all to be SF Dominant pied, if the female is DF Dominant. The female has visual iris ring in both her eyes, so I don’t think recessive pied is involved. I thing that she could be a combination of SF Dominant pied and Clearflight. And maybe one of the chicks is the same combination, och maybe 2 of the chicks could be poorly marked Clearflight? It looks like the 2 youngest coudt have a pied feather or 2 in the back of their heads, but I’m not sure. Is it anybody who knows more about pied combinations? The first picture is the parents to my female. What do you say about their mutations?Picture 2 and 3 is the female, and the rest is her chicks.
January 15, 20223 yr I have 3 dom pieds and only one male has thrown dom pieds. I have 1 dom pied clear flight violet that has never thrown me pieds. So I bred him to a dom pied that I suspect is a recessive dom pied sky blue. I am anxious to see what I get. I will keep you posted if you like.

Parents look like a dominant clear flight pied to a recessive pied to me- which is why you have a white iris ring baby. (Colour between the legs and pure black eyes is basically the recessive pied indicator.) All you need to do is breed back to recessive pied, then clearflight and you'll get a dec rare baby. Double factoring also wipes the colour out. Not sure if there is such a thing as Dominant pied df. Edited November 3, 20222 yr by Bud Rega
