Why Does My Budgie Have A Sore Foot?

Featured Replies

Yesterday I noticed that my budgie, Bazil has a hurt foot. When shes is sitting on the perch she holds her foot up and will not put any weight on it. She can't turn around on her perch and can't move across her perch without being in pain. I'm worried she can't get to her food or water bucket. My budgie is about 5 or 6 and is a girl. What can I do to help her? Should I take her to a vet? What is wrong with her?

Spelling mistakes.

She most likely steped on something, but better safe than sorry. You should put a bandage on it, and trim the nails to prevent in-growth. Also, please reduce your font size. Its rather distracting.
