my male is mating but my female is not laying any eggs, my local bird place has said to me that it could be my male (is this true or false)?

Hi There.

Hens can and will still lay infertile eggs if the male is not fertile or for some reason not fertilizing the eggs.

I'd say the issue is with the hen.
