bought a 7-month old show cockbird, should i give him a girlfriend now or he still needs a few months to become sexually mature？

at what age show budgie cockbirds and hens are ready to pair up? thanks in advance.

Over to show breeders, but I'd say 12 mths plus is okay. same as "normal" birds.

I agree with Robyn. It's been mostly show breeders on this forum who I have done all my learning from. 12 months is what they always recommend. And more, if the twelve month old bird seems immature.
